South Central – ‘Castle of Heroes’
This video was my second job for Nothing To See Here. I was asked to be assistant Director which was a big jump for me, only having been on set once before as production assistant. My role involved finding some of these weird and wonderful people and creating some kind of order throughout the day. It was quite a daunting experience having a sardine packed room full of performers – a magician – stilt walkers – burlesque dancers – pole dancers – a masseuse – transvestites – two reckless actors (Dom and Seb) – quality portraits – and a girl very keen to get her bits out. The day was hilarious, I still laugh to myself when I hear people think that the set up is real!? Steve did this on a budget of nothing and it was knocked by some industry types for wasting 10,000 as it says in the video, ha!
