Lucie Goodayle started of with an interest in visual communication after studying Contempory Fine Art Practice at Northbrook, and has since gone on to set herself up as a freelance photographer. “I have always been creative in one way or another from painting backdrops, sculpting, printing, designing, I tried and loved it all growing up until I realised photography and video enable me to combine all of my skills, and I thoroughly enjoy that process”
Lucie’s photography is experimental, colourful and dynamic working mainly in fashion, portrait and personnel fine art work.
“My aim is to create high quality interesting images from all genres. I hate to pigeon hole myself into one genre as I love so many things and enjoy the contrast of a bigger fashion set up to simple travel snaps, they all have their place”
2009 saw clients such as; Brighton Frocks, Brighton Calling, Get Cutie, Mama San Levis, Jo Jo and Mac, Volume Magazine, Splish Splash Beachwear, Urban Nature, XYZ, Nothing To See Here Productions and by the end of 2009 had completed a successful internship with the Guardian and was offered to freelance for the South East Region.
“This year I hope to continue to work to the best of my ability, keep good relations, make new friends and complete my first short film and gallery exhibition”

Lucie G Photography started running in Jan 2009, since then I have had the opportunity to work with some great designers, models and crew. Keen to learn I studied photography and film at Brighton and have since continued to teach myself using different styles and techniques.
I specialise in Fashion/editorial photography, but my camera is never far from my side when I am out on the street or travelling abroad. Sometimes it’s nice to snap what is already there, to investigate and explore in ones own time. This style of reportage photography so important as the rest of the time my photography has more structure and involves a bit of forward thinking and a lot of planning.
I am inspired by filmmaking and had some great experience in that field, directing a music video for doll and kicks, assisting on others and working on my own projects. Film and photography go hand in hand and I like the way film stills look as they have more atmosphere, which is what I am trying to achieve with my own personnel art projects. This is the most fun to create characters in your mind that can be as normal/ crazy as possible and it’s up to me to figure out the ‘scene’ this character will be in.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a go a different types of photography as some might think, it keeps ideas fresh and you never know what you will be inspired by. I pretty much get inspired by most things, when it comes to photography my brain barely sleeps! I hope this never stops and with time my photography which grows with even more knowledge, just need to make sure the world is watching.
